When you search Nelly Furtado on iTunes or Google the first songs that show up are her (fairly) recent hits like “Promiscuous Girl” and “Maneater” (no, I’m not talking about Hall and Oates) but we all remember her golden era.  In the early 2000’s Furtado was known for such contributions as “Thin Line” the Jurassic 5 song on which she sang for 2002’s Power in Numbers and smash hits “I’m Like a Bird” and “Turn Off the Light.”  Well at least one of us remembers those days, and it’s electro-ravist Bassnectar.  Check out his new single “Magical World”, a neat rendition of “Turn Off the Light”, below and buy his new Timestretch EP here!
