You might very well have checked out Scratch My Back, pop icon Peter Gabriel’s eighth solo studio album.  It featured covers of an interesting mix of artists, including Bon Iver, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Neil Young, and Randy Newman.  The idea behind the album (and its name) was that each artist would, in turn, cover one of Gabriel’s songs in the future.  Though Bowie and Radiohead’s refusal to participate seem to have left a hole or two in the follow up, I’ll Scratch Yours, (and whether or not you liked the album) you have to give Gabriel credit for a valiant effort.

Well, it turns out Gabriel’s at it again, this time covering “In the Neighborhood” from Tom Waits’ 1983 album Swordfishtrombones for The Voice Project.  Check it out below…
